About Us
Established in 1921, St. Joseph’s Home Care (SJHC) has provided value-based community nursing services for over 85 years. During this time, our organization has seen many changes, but has remained committed to delivering exemplary client-focused care to the Hamilton community.

We tailor our programs to meet the needs of each individual client. We serve a wide variety of clients with diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. As a faith-based organization, we are committed to service to all clients, regardless of their beliefs or background. Our organization reflects the diversity of ethnicity, culture and religion. We understand and respect each individual’s needs and are sensitive to their beliefs and spiritual care needs.

We have a staff of approximately 200 employees and provide the following health and community services for our Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant Local Health Integrated Network (HNHB LHIN) as well as the HNHB Community Care Access Centre (HNHB CCAC).

SJHC is a proud member of St. Joseph’s Health System (SJHS) which is founded in the healing mission of the 150 year old tradition of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Hamilton. We pride ourselves on a system-wide commitment to caring for the whole person and body, mind and spirit.
